This course is a semester-long limited enrollment course that affords those intensely interested in litigation an opportunity to increase and refine their trial tactics and skills. This course provides an opportunity to enhance your effectiveness as a litigator in many areas such as direct examination, including use of documentary evidence, cross-examination with emphasis on impeachment skills, expert testimony, exclusion of evidence through motions and objections, jury selection, and opening statements and closing arguments. Videotapes will be used to instruct, and exercises will be taped for your self-critique. The course will end with a mock jury trial. This course is graded pass/fail.
